Senior Parking & Reservations.
Each year, DCS offers priority parking to its rising seniors. Seniors are allowed to reserverve and paint their parking spot for their senior year.
It’s time to reserve your senior parking spot. A couple things to be aware of:
- Reservations are first-come/first-serve with payment.
- Parking spots are only reserved for school hours (7:45 – 2:30 PM)
- Design approval is at the discretion of DCS’ administration.
Application for Approval and $25 Fee due by Thursday, July 25.
Supplies Needed
- Roller Cover, no larger than 1/2-3/4’s nap
- Brushes, chip brushes (disposable) or cheap nylon brushes
- Roll of Blue Wide Painter’s Tape (to tape off four-inch border)
- Paint tray for rollers
- Paint extender pole (so you don’t have to break your back!)
- Rags or Paper Towels and Water
- Chalk to map out design
- Primer made for cement/masonry; needs to be water-based and “gray” tinted primer. You can buy Zinsser or KILZ2 at Home Depot or Lowes. You may want to go in with a friend for supplies – 1 gallon of primer will cover two spots.
How it works
- There is a $25 fee. Spot selection is first-come/first-serve once payment is complete
- Once approved we will need two days for painting
- Early options: May 20-24, 2024, 9:00 – 4:00 pm
- Beginning July 29 – you may paint your parking space anytime during day from 9:00am-5:00pm
DAY 1: Prime your spot
- Use Blue Painters Tape to tape of your spot – tape just inside the “lined” border
of the parking spot so it will not bleed into another spot - Use a primer made for cement/masonry to cover your parking spot.
- Let dry overnight
DAY 2: Paint your spot
- You need to use exterior, water based paint that you can also purchase at HomeDepot or Lowes.
Reserve your spot.
Make sure you have your design ready to upload or you can submit it by email to mlightner@dominionmail.org. Do not paint your design until your design is approved by administration.
