Janie Niswonger, Lower School Principal

In addition to serving many years as a collegiate campus minister and raising her two sons, Janie has worked the last fifteen years in K-12 private education, most recently as Secondary Principal at Cornerstone Preparatory Academy. She has been proud to call the West Cobb community her home for over twenty years and is committed to furthering Christian education in this area. She and her husband Mark are actively involved at Mars Hill Community Church, where they cherish the growth they have experienced through sound Biblical teaching and true Christian fellowship.

Janie has a master's degree in theological studies from Southwestern Seminary and enjoys discipling students and young adults to know and glorify God, embrace their true identity in Him, and realize the unique calling He has placed on their lives. She is a visionary who enjoys new challenges and bringing big ideas into fruition. She loves to travel the world, cheer on The Ohio State Buckeyes, and spend time with Mark, Jacob, and Joey.

Johnathan Hall, PE Teacher, Strength & Conditioning Teacher, Head Football Coach

My name is Coach Johnathan Hall, and I am truly humbled, honored, and excited to join Dominion Christian School as the new Physical Education and Strength & Conditioning Teacher and Head Football Coach. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve a school community that is committed to developing students academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally. I am excited to become part of the Dominion Christian family, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, parents, faculty, staff, and supporters of the Knights.

For more than twenty years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach, coach, mentor and develop student athletes at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. Throughout my teaching and coaching journey, I have served in a variety of teaching and coaching positions. I have served as a Business Education, History, and Strength and Condition teacher. In reference to coaching I have been a Head Football Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Head Wrestling Coach, Head Soccer Coach, Head Track Coach, and Assistant Athletic Director. Each experience has strengthened my commitment to helping young people reach their full potential while allowing me to learn from outstanding coaches, educators, and mentors who have influenced my approach to leadership and program development.

My philosophy as both an educator and coach is grounded in faith, integrity, servant leadership, and relationships. I believe athletics is a privilege that provides valuable opportunities to teach life lessons such as discipline, accountability, perseverance, teamwork, and resilience. While I am committed to preparing our athletes to compete at a high level and pursue excellence, I believe success is ultimately measured by the character we build, the growth we achieve, and the positive impact we have on others.

The values that guide my leadership were first instilled in me by my family and later reinforced by the coaches, teachers, and mentors who invested in my life. Because of those influences, I strive to create a safe, challenging, and Christ-centered environment where every student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. I challenge my student athletes to keep God, family, and academics at the center of their lives while pursuing excellence in everything they do.

I am excited for my future at Dominion Christian School and proud to become part of the Knights family. Thank you for the warm welcome, and I look forward to serving alongside you as we strive to honor God in the classroom, weight room, athletic fields, and in our daily lives.

Chris Ward, Student Spiritual Life Director

With over 22 years of experience in education and ministry, Chris has a deep passion for investing in the next generation, helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus, and developing godly character. Married for 21 years to Jill and a proud father of three—Grant, Kaylee, and Hope—Chris understands the importance of family, discipleship, and creating meaningful connections with students and parents alike.

He is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southern Seminary. Throughout his ministry journey, Chris has served at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, as the College and Young Adults Pastor; Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta as the Programming & Care Pastor; and Eastside Church in Marietta as the Student Pastor.

Chris started coaching at Lee Scott Academy in Auburn, AL. He taught Bible and coached at Whitefield Academy in Louisville, KY, and he has been coaching and teaching Bible at Eastside Christian School for the past eight years. Chris believes that competition on the playing field is one of the greatest tools for building lifelong lessons in character, discipline, teamwork, and work ethic.

Whether in the classroom, serving the local church, or coaching, Chris is passionate about passing the faith on to the next generation through relational leadership. He leads with encouragement, empathy, and a love for God’s Word. He has a heart to see the orphan rescued and students come to a saving faith in Christ. He is excited and grateful to be returning to Dominion and looks forward to being a part of all God has ahead for the Dominion family.

David Setzler, MS History Teacher

God has blessed me with a love of History. He has given me many different opportunities throughout my life for Christian discipleship through the medium of History and I am excited to bring that to Dominion Christian. Through my years at North Greenville University, blending the Scripture with History has led me to pursue Christian education. Having played sports in middle school for Dominion Christian and grown up in Cobb, I am thankful that God has led me to come home and give back to a community that helped build my Christian foundation at a young age. It is my mission to give students a way to fall in love with History and see God's hand at work throughout all of it.

Ryan Morgan, MS Bible Teacher

My name is Ryan Morgan, and I am excited to join Dominion Christian as the Middle School Bible Teacher. I am grateful to continue my journey in Christian Education and be in a place where God is at the center of everything!

I’ve spent the last 10 years working with Middle School and High School students, serving as a Jr. High Pastor and Bible Teacher. I am passionate about helping students know the love of God, the beauty of His Word, and to step into their new life in Christ! For me, being a Pastor and Teacher to students has been one of God’s greatest blessings in my life, and I am excited to share these things with students and staff at Dominion!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Concordia University Irvine and a Master’s of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology. These institutions hold a very special place in my heart as they’ve shaped who I’ve become as a Christian, ministry leader, and educator. I am passionate about creating classrooms where students feel seen, known, and challenged to pursue Christ every day.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places in Georgia, reading theology, calling up my friends from back home in California, and talking with people about Jesus! I look forward to getting to know you all!
