The purpose of Dominion Christian High School is to regard each student as a treasure created by a loving heavenly Father and to assist the student in reaching his/her greatest potential through Christ-centered academic, moral and spiritual instruction. With this in mind, we strive to offer an excellent educational program dedicated to respect, reveal, and develop the inherent dignity and worth of each individual student in a dynamic, as well as nurturing environment.

DCS faculty and administration have a combined total of 14 earned master’s and two doctoral degrees.

Accreditation & Class Information

Accreditation: ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools).

Classes: 7 class periods. Classes meet for 50 minutes four days a week, and for 41 minutes one day a week. There are two semesters in the school year. Credit is granted each semester independently of any other semester.

High School Curriculum

The high school curriculum taught at Dominion Christian Schools is a complete college-preparatory curriculum. In addition, Advanced Placement courses are offered, which are weighted at 1.25 times the regular GPA. The following AP courses are offered:

Graduation Requirements

25 units which must include the following:

4 units in Bible
4 units in English
4 units in Mathematics
4 units in History (must include 1 unit of world history, 1 unit of United States history, & 1 unit of economics/government)
3 units in Science (must include 1 unit of a physical science and 1 unit of a natural science). Beginning with the class of 2012, 4 units in Science are required. These must include Biology, Physics or Physical Science; Chemistry, Earth Systems, Environmental Science, an AP or IB Science course; and one other Science course.
1 unit in Health/Physical Education
3 units in a single foreign language
1 ½ units in Computer/Fine Arts (at least ½ credit must be in each Fine Arts and Computer)
1 ½ units of Electives. Beginning with the class of 2012, ½ unit of Electives.
